US' Anadarko hits more pay at Mozambique gas field

Sydney-US independent Anadarko Petro- leum's latest appraisal well in the Rovuma Basin offshore Mozambique has recorded the largest pay count to date in the complex, where recoverable gas resources are esti- mated at 30 Tcf or higher, the company said January 17. Lagosta-2, the seventh well in the area, successfully appraised previous discoveries at Lagosta and Camarao. The well encountered 237 meters of natural gas pay in multiple zones, Anadarko said.
