New York—US retail gasoline demand fell6.5% year on year to 58.569 million barrels inthe survey week ended March 2, as gasolineprices continued to rise, MasterCard Advisorssaid March 6.The 8.367 million b/d sold at retail sta-tions last week also was down from 8.491million b/d the week before, the survey said.The drop in retail gasoline consumptionon a rolling four-week average was 6.3% at58.009 million barrels/week.
