UAE’s TAQA mulls Canadian LNG exports

Dubai—The head of the UAE’s Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, or TAQA, said May 10 the company would consider exporting Canadian gas as LNG to more lucrative markets outside North America because of the current low gas prices there. TAQA, 75%-owned by the Abu Dhabi government, is a diversified energy group with oil and gas production in western Canada, the US Rocky Mountains area and the North Sea, as well as an international portfolio of midstream gas and power assets.
