New York sues us over lack of drilling study

Washington-New York is suing the US Army Corps of Engineers and three other agencies for the federal government's failure to conduct an environmental impact study of natural gas drilling in the Delaware River Basin. New York Attorney General Eric Sch-neiderman said the Corps, as the federal representative on the five-member Delaware River Basin Commission, has failed to commit to a full environmental review as part of the DRBC's ongoing development of rules governing drilling in seven eastern Pennsylvania and seven southern New York counties atop the Marcellus Shale.
