ONGC, RiL in talks on sharing KG Basin gas facilities

Mumbai—India’s state-owned upstream company Oil and Natural Gas Corp. is in talks with Reliance Industries Ltd. to share its Krishna Godavarai Basin production facility located at Kakinada for its discoveries that lie adjacent to RIL’s deepwater KG-D6 block. ONGC has made nine gas discoveries in its deepwater block KG-DWN-98/2, next to RIL’s KG-D6 block, and plans to begin production by 2016-17, ONGC Chairman and Managing Director Sudhir Vasudeva said October 21.
