Russia predicts slower oilproduction growth in 2012

Moscow—Russia’s crude output in 2012 isprojected to grow to 514 million mt (10.28 mil-lion b/d), up 0.5% on the 2011 figure of 511.4million mt, energy minister Alexander Novaksaid in a presentation published June 14.For the period 2015-2020, the output isto decrease to around 510 million mt/year,the presentation added.The outlook for this year is more con-servative than one made by the ministry inJanuary. At that time, deputy energy ministerSergei Kudriashov said in an interview with TVchannel Russia 24 that 2012 output was setto grow by around 1% compared with 2011,effectively exceeding 516 million mt.
