JX Nippon to cut October crude throughput by 3%

Tokyo-Japan's largest refiner JX Nippon Oil & Energy plans to process 5.30 million kiloliters (33.34 million barrels or 1.08 million b/d) of crude for the domestic market in October, down 3% from a year ago, a company official said September 28. The company attributed the reduction to a scheduled turnaround at a 120,000 b/d crude distillation unit at its 270,000 b/d at Negishi refinery in Tokyo Bay over October 12-November 4, the official said.
