OPEC february output hits 29.8 million b/d

London-OPEC crude oil output jumped to 29.8 million b/d in February, a 230,000 b/d increase from January, as Saudi Arabia con- tinued to boost production, a Platts survey of OPEC and oil industry officials and analysts showed March 9. The increase more than offset the drop in Libyan supplies, estimated to have averaged 190,000 b/d over the month, as the deepening conflict hit the North African country's oil produc- tion and exports in the final week of February.
