New York—Getty Petroleum Marketing has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, saying a reorganization will help it restructure finances and resolve claims held by creditors, who include Lukoil Americas, the retail marketer and service station owner said December 5. A reorganization “will enable the company to continue conducting normal business operations while it restructures its finances, addresses and resolves claims held by creditors against the company, and resolves disputes with Getty Realty Corporation, Bionol Clearfield LLC, Lukoil Americas Corporation and Lukoil North America LLC, which have negatively impacted the company,” Getty said in a statement.
