Kinder, Petrohawk in Haynesville, Eagle ford venture

London-Houston-based Kinder Morgan May 5 announced a $920 million deal to buy additional shale gas interests in the US from Petrohawk Energy and to build a new pipeline to move crude and condensate from the Eagle Ford shale to the Houston Ship Channel. Kinder Morgan said it had signed a definitive agreement to pay around $855 million to Petrohawk and assume $65 million in debt in return for the company's 50% stake in KinderHawk Field Services, a gas gathering and treatment company in the Haynesville Shale, and a 25% interest in Petrohawk's gas gathering and treating business in the Eagle Ford Shale.
