Norway sees oil, gas industry moving north

Oslo-The Norwegian government set out a white paper on its oil and gas strategy before Parliament June 24, saying it expected the industry's focus to move to more northerly areas and outlining plans to tackle high costs offshore Norway and boost the role of state-owned holding company Petoro. The energy ministry's report, "An industry for the future: Norway's petroleum activities," is due to be debated in Parliament in late 2011 or early 2012.
