Norway to open up Barents sea exploration

Copenhagen-With one eye fixed firmly on the next national elections, the Norwegian govern- ment March 11 rejigged its master plan for drilling in Arctic waters, opening up previously blocked areas of the Barents Sea to explora- tion but retaining a controversial freeze on the oil- and gas-rich Lofoten Islands region.
