US gas storage jumps beyond 3 Tcf mark, EIA reports

Knoxville, Tennessee-US natural gas storage inventories surpassed the 3 Tcf level for the week ended September 9 as operators injected 87 Bcf nationwide, taking stocks to 3.112 Tcf, the Energy Information Administration reported September 15. The build was higher than consensus expectations of between 81 Bcf and 85 Bcf. It came in below the 96 Bcf injection reported a year ago but above the 79 Bcf five-year average.
