New York-US retail gasoline demand fell 1% from the year-ago period in the survey week ended March 4 as the price of gasoline con- tinued to surge, MasterCard Advisors said March 8. Motorists pumped 62.674 million barrels last week, or 8.953 million b/d, a 1.15 mil- lion barrel decrease from the prior week.
