Statoil presses on with fast-track field developments

Copenhagen-Statoil last week continued with its program of fast-tracking smaller oil and gas fields to keep up production momentum on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Statoil on May 12 said it would spend NOK4.5 billion ($816 million) on the fast-track development of the Hyme oil and gas field, with production expected to start in the first quarter of 2013.
