Total makes new oil find at OML102 offshore Nigeria

London-Total has made a second oil find in license area OML102 offshore Nigeria, raising the chance of developing a new production hub at the block, the company said November 7. Total made the find in the southeastern corner of the block in the Etisong North-1 well, some 15 km southeast of the Ofon oil field. The well was drilled to a total depth of 2,387 meters in 80 meters of water. One of three reservoirs encountered tested at 8,500 b/d of 40 degree API oil.
