As expected, China's economic growth dipped slightly to 9.6% y-o-y in the third quarter, down from a 10.3% in the second. Although it was the smallest gain in a year, the economy was developing at a strong pace nonetheless, as the deceleration was mainly due to impacts from the government's economic controls and a higher base comparison period.
