Seoul—State-run Korea Gas Corporation said December 13 it would receive a cargo of 500,000 barrels of crude oil from an Iraqi oil development this week, its second shipment from the field in return for investment in the project. Kogas will jointly receive 1 million barrels December 15 with US partner Occidental Petroleum from the Zubair oil field in southern Iraq, the state utility said in a statement. “Kogas will resell the crude in the international market after the oil is delivered,” it said.
