Tokyo—Japan’s largest refiner JX Nippon Oil& Energy has decided to advance the plannedrestart of its earthquake-hit 145,000 b/d Sen-dai refinery to end-March 2012 from summer2012, the company said July 28. The refiner has estimated that it wouldneed to spend around Yen 50 billion ($642.4million) to fix damage sustained in the March11 earthquake and tsunami as well as installa 1 MW solar power plant at the refinery.
