Tap takes pre-emptive 20% in West Australia permit

Sydney-Tap Oil has exercised its pre-emptive right to acquire an additional 20% interest in the "highly prospective" WA-351-P exploration permit in Western Australia's offshore Carnarvon Basin, the company said January 20. Tap's pre-emptive rights were triggered by a December 20, 2010, deal under which Australian junior Roc Oil agreed to sell its 20% stake in the permit to Woodside Petroleum for $15.75 million (ON 12/21/10).
