Anchorage—Alaska’s revenue department estimates oil production will decline to an average of 574,000 b/d for the current fiscal year from 603,000 b/d in the previous financial year, according to the state’s annual production forecast released December 15. The expected rate of decline is 4.7% between FY 2011 and FY 2012, which runs to June 30, 2012. The forecast is for a further decline to an average of 555,000 b/d for FY 2013, a 3.3% drop.
