Singapore—China December 27 announced a new pricing system for natural gas, under which the gas price will be based on a “netback market value” of alternative fuels with similar calorific values. The new pricing system will be first implemented in the southern provinces of Guangdong and Guangxi, with immediate effect, the National Development and Reform Commission, the country’s top economic planning agency, said in a statement.
