India cuts D6 supply to non-priority users

Mumbai-India's Reliance Industries Limited May 9 cut natural gas supply from its D6 block in the Krishna Godavari Basin offshore eastern India to "non-priority" sector customers under a directive from the oil ministry, ministry sources said May 10. RIL has stopped gas supply of around 6 million cubic meters/d (211,890 Mcf/d) to steel and petrochemical plants and refineries, sources said. This includes RIL's petrochemical plant and refineries in Jamnagar in the western state of Gujarat.
