Moscow to auction field close to Sakhalin 1

Moscow-Russia is to issue in September a controversial tender for an area bordering the Chayvo field in Russia's Far East that ExxonMobil previously claimed as being part of its Sakhalin 1 project. The starting price for the North Chayvo area has been set at Rb1.614 billion (nearly $58 million), according to a document posted on the website of the country's subsoil agency Rosnedra June 10.
