Magnum Hunter to buy Williston Basin-heavy NuLoch

New York-US independent Magnum Hunter Resources has agreed to buy Canadian oil and natural gas producer NuLoch Resources in an all-stock deal valued at about $327 million, Magnum Hunter said January 19. NuLoch's exploration and production efforts are focused on the Williston Basin in North Dakota and Saskatchewan, mainly in the Bakken-Three Forks Sanish formations, Magnum Hunter said in a statement. Calgary-based NuLoch also owns additional producing properties in Alberta.
