US overtakes Japan as leading buyer of ESPo oil

Moscow-The US became the biggest buyer of Russian East Siberian export blend ESPO in the first half of 2011, having bought 27% of total ESPO sales in the period, the Kozmino port authority said July 1. The US increased purchases on a monthly basis throughout the first half of the year and they hit a record 31% or 400,000 mt in June, the authority said.
