Singapore-China's crude oil imports in August inched up 0.7% year on year to 21.04 million mt, or an average of 4.97 million b/d, preliminary data released September 10 by the General Administration of Customs showed. The rise in imports, after declines in June and July, was largely attributed to increased buying of crude oil by state-owned refiners following the end of planned turnarounds at some plants.
