CNPC launches third Shaanxi-Beijing gas line

Shanghai-State-run China National Petroleum Corporation December 31 began operation of its third Shaanxi-Beijing natural gas pipeline in northern China, CNPC said January 4. The 896 km pipeline starts from the city of Yulin in central China's Shaanxi province, run- ning through Shanxi province, Hebeijing province and reaching its destination at the Liangxiang gas station in southwestern Beijing. Transport capacity of the pipeline is 15 billion cubic meters annually.
