Moscow-Russian integrated oil company Bashneft could cut refining volumes if it is not compensated by the government for losses caused by new tax rules, Bashneft President Alexander Korsik said September 8. Russia's new "60-66" tax regime, designed to make upstream development more attractive, will come in force from October 1, but would be disadvantageous to more downstream-focused integrated companies.
