Encana selling midstream assets in Piceance Basin

Washington-Encana is selling midstream natural gas assets in Colorado to an unidentified private company for $590 million, the Calgary-based producer said September 7. The assets include about 260 miles of pipeline and 90,000 horsepower of compression facilities in the Piceance Basin. They were built in the last 10 years, serving Encana's Mamm Creek, Orchard and South Parachute production areas near Rifle, Colorado, about 180 miles west of Denver, Encana said.
