India’s OVL, Gazprom in talks on joint LNG projects

Mumbai—India’s ONGC Videsh Limited, the overseas arm of state-owned exploration company Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, is in “close talks” with Russia’s Gazprom to jointly develop LNG projects, gas pipelines, transportation and marketing, India’s oil ministry said in a statement December 7. India’s Petronet LNG, which signed a heads of agreement for supply of about 2.5 million mt of LNG from Gazprom in the summer, is also interested in participating in the projects along with OVL, the oil ministry said.
