Petrobras sees Tupi peaking at 100,000 b/d

Rio de Janeiro-Petrobras said November 16 its Tupi field offshore Brazil, owned with the UK's BG and Portugal's Galp, will reach peak crude oil output of 100,000 b/d in the sec- ond half of 2012. Tupi, which has an estimated 5 billion to 8 billion barrels of recoverable oil and natural gas reserves, will average output of 50,000 b/d in 2011 and reach 75,000 b/d by the end of next year, Eduardo Molinari, Petrobras' exploration and production coordinator, told analysts on a conference call.
