Three killed following gas leak at Israeli refinery

Jerusalem-Three workers were killed and one critically injured following a gas leak at the 200,000 b/d Haifa refinery in Israel, an inci- dent that has led to calls for expansion plans at the plant to be scrapped. The refinery, owned by Israel's Oil Refiner- ies Limited (ORL), had been shut for several days as part of maintenance operations and a company spokesman said workers were carry- ing out various tasks near a gas container when the incident occurred.
