CFTC approves three swaps regulatory rules

Washington-The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved three new rules October 1 needed to set up the over-thecounter derivatives regulatory regime mandated by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. At the same time, all five CFTC commissioners expressed concern that the agency will not receive funding from Congress to perform the new responsibilities the agency is charged with under Dodd-Frank.
