Baghdad-Production from Iraq's Rumaila oil field stabilized at 1 million b/d in October after the highest level of activity by the BP-led consortium since it was awarded a technical service contract in 2009 to raise production capacity to a 2.85 million b/d target, the con sortium said November 4. Average production from Rumaila, Iraq's biggest producing field, was around 1.05 mil- lion b/d when BP and China's CNPC were awarded the contract for further development of the field after submitting a winning bid in Iraq's first post-war auction in June last year.
