ONGC, Bashneft in talks on Trebs, Titov

Moscow-India's ONGC is in talks with Russ- ian oil producer Bashneft, the likely winner of a recent auction for the major Trebs and Titov oil fields in northern Russia, on the possible joint development of the assets, an official with the Indian oil ministry said December 13 in Moscow. Earlier this month, Russia's subsoil agency Rosnedra recommended that the gov- ernment grant the licenses for Trebs and Titov to Bashneft, the only bidder for the fields, with a governmental decision expected in Jan- uary (ON 12/3).
