Tianjin, China-Russia and China September 21 vowed to strengthen their cooperation in the energy sphere, signing a number of deals and laying out the investment plans for the joint construction of a major new refinery in northern China. Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin met with senior Chinese officials, including the country's Vice Premier Wang Qishan, in Tianjin and in Beijing ahead of a visit by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to China later this month.
