Brussels-Italian refiner Saras posted February 26 an adjusted net loss of Eur24 million ($33 million) for the fourth quarter of 2009 compared with a profit of Eur95.1 million a year earlier, as refining margins bottomed out.Saras, which owns the biggest and most complex refinery in the Mediterranean-Sar-roch on the island of Sardinia-said benchmark refining margins in the fourth quarter moved further into negative territory at minus $0.90/barrel compared with plus $3.60/b in the same period of 2008.
