Canada's Enbridge to expand Athabasca pipeline

Houston-Canada's Enbridge will expand its Athabasca crude oil pipeline to the maximum capacity of 570,000 b/d by early 2014, the company said December 16. The project is in addition to an 85,000 b/d expansion announced in September, the company said in a statement. The capacity of the 335-mile line in Alber- ta, which runs from Fort McMurray to Hardisty, is currently 345,000 b/d.
