Bangladesh allows Cairn to sell gas at market prices

Dhaka-Bangladesh has agreed to UK-based Cairn Energy's proposal to sell gas from its Magnama and Hatia structures in the Bay of Bengal at market prices to private buyers in the country, a senior government official said September 22. “We have agreed to the Cairn proposal, and a supplementary agreement to the existing production sharing contract will be signed shortly to this effect,” Petrobangla Chairman Hossain Mansur told Platts.
