Origin sees decision on LNG by year-end

Sydney-Integrated Australian energy company Origin Energy is expecting to “trigger” its planned coal seam gas-to-LNG project by the end of this year, but remains reliant on signing up sufficient customers to meet the timeline, the company said August 24 after releasing its annual results. Origin posted a 10% increase in underlying net profit to A$585 million ($523 million) for the financial year ended June 30, 2010, up from 2008-2009’s A$530 million.
