Talisman plans 10% hike in 2010 capex to $5.06 billion

London-Canada's Talisman Energy plans to increase capital spending to C$5.2 billion (US$5.06 billion) in 2010, up around 10% on 2009 levels, the company said January 11. The higher spending reflects the company's plans to increase shale drilling in North America and higher development spending in Southeast Asia and the North Sea, Talisman said in a statement.
