Russia to award Bashneft license for Trebs, Titov fields

Moscow-Russian producer Bashneft has been recommended to take the license to develop the Trebs and Titov oil fields in north- ern Russia as expected following the cancella- tion December 2 of the field license auction. Bashneft was the sole bidder for the fields after its only rival, Russia's fourth- largest producer Surgutneftegaz, dropped out of the race at the end of October (ON 10/29).
