Houston-Commercial activity continued to show signs of healing in October according to statistics from the American Petroleum Insti- tute that revealed a 4% rise in demand for distillate used in production of diesel fuels. "The October data suggest continued eco- nomic recovery, although on a small scale," said the API's chief economist, John Felmy, in reviewing the organization's monthly statistical report for October.
