UK's Premier to buy 50% stake in North Sea block

London-UK's Premier Oil has agreed to buy a 50% operating stake in a North Sea exploration block with two oil prospects held by Serica Energy in return for funding a well on the permit, the companies said January 5. Under an agreement, Serica will retain a 50% interest in central North Sea block 22/19C, which contains the Oates and Bowers Palaeocene prospects, the companies said.
