Shell targets new region in portfolio offshore Alaska

Anchorage-Shell has identified a new offshore exploration target in the Alaskan Beaufort Sea and is doing shallow-water hazard surveys this summer which will be needed to file an exploration plan with the US, company officials said in interviews this week. The area is in Harrison Bay, west of the Prudhoe Bay area of the North Slope and north of the Colville River Delta and the onshore producing Alpine field.
