Bangkok-Thailand's state-controlled energy company PTT late November 12 posted net profit of Baht 21.7 billion ($728 million), or Baht 7.64/share, for the third quarter of 2010, up 27.8% from Baht 16.98 billion, or Baht 6.01/share, in the corresponding period of 2009, largely due to foreign exchange gains and higher sales volumes and prices.
