Japan mission to visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Abu Dhabi

Tokyo-Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will send a senior delegation in mid-January to Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi among other countries in the region for energy talks, senior METI minister Tadahiro Matsushita said January 5. In his New Year address at the Petroleum Association of Japan's reception, Matsushita said he hoped to visit the Arab Gulf countries later this month after recently visiting Iraq. But parliamentary duties might prevent him going in person.
