BP finishes cementing Macondo; bottom kill to come

Houston-BP completed the process of cementing its runaway Macondo exploration well from the top August 5 in an operation that will “virtually assure” no more oil leaking from that well into the Gulf of Mexico, according to US National Incident Commander Thad Allen.
