Macondo partners reject new cleanup bills from BP

Washington-The CEO of Anadarko Petroleum said July 22 his company is withholding payment of a new, $919 million bill from BP for cleanup and other costs relating to the April 20 blowout of the Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Senate Homeland Security Committee revealed July 22 that BP has sent a second bill to Anadarko for $919,395,530.50 for expenses incurred in June. Anadarko already has said it would withhold payment of $272 million that BP has invoiced for expenses incurred in May.
